Different cultures have different customs surrounding food and eating. Describe a food-related custom you grew up with or have experienced. How does this custom reflect your family's values or cultural background?

Prompt Response:  A food related custom I grew up with was always making sure that I as the youngest child in my family was responsible for taking up everyones dishes after dinner and helping put the extra food into the fridge. My father and mother were younger children who also had to do this which is why they and my grandparents expected I do so once I got old enough. I was confused at first because for most of my life it was my older brother who took up plates.  This reflects my families general beliefs that certain tasks are always assigned to the youngest in the family such as cleaning the countertops, taking out trash, and getting the mail.
